must see movie
March 28, 2006Last saturday i was able to watch the movie Nanny Mcphee, we supposed to watch North Country but since we came from worked and little bit tired so we just decided to see a feel good movie like Nanny Mcphee. There was much joy to be had, It really was a lot of fun for children’s movies. "Nanny McPhee" will appeal to moviegoers its "Supernanny"-like belief that teaching children is also about teaching their parents (the closing credits inform us, "This film is dedicated to the truly naughty. And their children.").
memorable quotes from that movie: When you need me, but do not want me, then I will stay. When you want me, but do not need me, then I have to go

song for the moment
i love this song, i’m huge mariah fan ….

When you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It’s easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imaged I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open my hands
And watch you rise
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were ment to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
I have learned that beauty
Has to flourish in the light
Wild horses run unbridled
Or their spirit dies
You have given me the courage
To be all that I can
And truly feel your heart will
Lead you back to me when you’re
Ready to land
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were ment to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
I can’t pretend these tears
Aren’t over flowing steadily
I can’t prevent this hurt from
Almost overtaking me
But will stand and say goodbye
For you’ll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were ment to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were ment to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
So flutter through the sky
Butterfly
Spread your wings and fly
Butterfly

dream signs
March 24, 2006dream is a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
Everyone and anyone’s dreams are unique. No two individuals can have the same background, emotions nor experiences. Dreams are connected with your own "reality" thus when interpreting your dreams, it’s important to draw conclusions from your personal life and experiences. For the past few days i always wake-up late, not that i don’t want too get up and be ready for worked but because of having a bad dream..Funny thing is those dreams that i remember is very unusual i mean seeing yourself caught in the middle of nowhere or things that i can’t imagined that i will encounter in real life, true they say that those dream that you can’t remember are the one that will happen in real life, When you understand your dreams you will have the ability to further understand and discover the true you.

Here are some list of dream signs :
When you see friends in your dream that means that if you see good friends you will get a close relationship and if you see bad friends you will receive news about a bad illness.
To dream that you love someone means that you will get happiness in your life.
If you see Gold that means that you are careless with your money and you will suffer losses if you do not change.
To see stars in your dream symbolizes spirit and luck.
If you dream of a heart that means truth, love, and courage.
To see the past in your dream means that you lack family and need to visit them.
To see a stranger in your dream means that you are uncertain about yourself.
To see a monster in your dream means that you are afraid to admit the truth.
To see that you are dead means that you shall realize that you are feeling alone.
To see riches in you dream means that you may become greedy and you may feel insecure.
Dreams about being chased may represent your way of coping with fears, stress or various situations in your waking life. Instead of confronting your problems, you are running away from them and avoiding them.
To Dream something that is above you means danger or if the object above you falls you will have sudden disappointment

How to Live a More Fulfilling Life
March 23, 2006The question that we usually asked to ourselves is how to live a fulfilling life, some of us is setting goals to see if you’re on the right path to achieved certain things we have in our life and what road needs to follow. But sometimes we are confused, we don’t know where to begin or we tend to forgot what is our priorities. Are you getting enough love? Receiving the recognition you deserve? Using your financial assets to build a solid future for yourself? This are some question according to Marie Claire magazine to help us determine how to change it.

Pag-agos

Indie band called Up dharma down song Pag-agos is making wave all around the metro …I just love this song as well the video, this song is about ending a relationship
At sa aking pagkubli
hampas ng araw pagdamdam ng gabi
tulog ang iyong mga kamay
di nako makapag antay
isang umaga muling aahon
at sisikat sa mga panahon
na tayong pang dalawa
masayang pagsasama
buong araw ng pag-agos
kailan ang huling unos
di alam kung tatakbo
kusang lalayo sayo
isang umaga muli ng pag-iisa
walang mayakap at makasama
pusong pilit na sinugatan
landas kong karaniwan
line from the movie
March 22, 2006Watching movie is not just for entertainment, but it also provide a lesson that we can learned from the story and for some is a reflection of there own experience in life, especially to the character portray by the actor. Some movie that really make sense is hard to forget often than not your finding yourself that you already memorize the line or even relate to the character. For whatever reason we have, one thing that i know is we are all a movie fan.
Here are some Memorable Quotes from the movie that i’ve watched…….
Jack Twist: Tell you what, we coulda had a good life together! Fuckin’ real good life! Had us a place of our own. But you didn’t want it, Ennis! So what we got now is Brokeback Mountain! Everything’s built on that! That’s all we got, So I hope you know that, even if you don’t never know the rest! You count the damn few times we have been together in nearly twenty years and then you ask me about Mexico and tell me you’ll kill me for needing somethin’ I don’t hardly never get. You have no idea how bad it gets! I’m not you…You are too much for me Ennis,I wish I could quit you

Noah: So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, for ever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? 30 years from now, 40 years from now? What’s it look like? If it’s with him, go. Go! I lost you once, I think I can do it again. If I though that’s what you really wanted. But don’t you take the easy way out.

William Parrish: Love is passion, obsession, someone you can’t live without. If you don’t start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who’ll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I’m not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you’ll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love - well, you haven’t lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven’t tried, you haven’t lived.

Julianne Potter: I had the strangest dream. I dreamt that some psychopath was trying to break the two of you up. Luckily, I woke up and I see that the world is just as it should be. For my best friend has won the best woman. I didn’t buy you a gift. But this is on loan until you two find your song.

Jonathan: Getting a crush on somebody else’s girlfriend? No, I’m sorry, I just meant I had a really nice time. You know, maybe you should give me your phone number. Just in case.
Sara: In case of what?
Jonathan: In case of life. I just had a really great time and for all we know I wouldn’t be able to find you again.
Sara: Well, if we’re meant to meet again, we’ll meet again. it’s just not the right time now.
Jonathan: Maybe we’re supposed to meet on British time and we’re five hours too early.

Annie Reed: Destiny is something we’ve invented because we can’t stand the fact that everything that happens is accidental

Fay: Sometimes we love people so much that we have to be numb to it. Because if we actually felt how much we love them, it would kill us. That doesn’t make you a bad person. It just means your hearts too big.
summer vacation
March 21, 2006Well summer is one of the season that everyone is looking forward too, especially for students. I myself just love summer not because of vacation but for not experiencing any rainy days not that i really don’t like rainy season it’s just make my day so down and get bored. I just realize that it’s been a year when i had my real vacation i was able to visit puerto gallera, pagudpud and zambales, but now i don’t really have any plan since it’s really hard to asked for a vacation leave here in the office and at the sametime most of my friends is also working, there is no time to meet up and plan for vacation, but honestly i wanted to have a peaceful vacation, a time for me to relax, time to rejuvenate, to think and be away from worked. I was hoping this summer to visit places that i’ve never been too.
my dream vacation:

song for the moment
March 18, 2006
OUR FINEST YEAR
I am bending
Made of steel
I am stumbling
Towards something real
How can you forget this feeling
Of standing straight while the world is reeling?
Don’t leave me here alone
You’re as close as it gets to home
Don’t look down
You might fall
Life made rookies of us all
In our finest year
Don’t wait up
We’ll be fine
Somehow we might get it right
In our finest year
I am hopeful
Full of doubt
And I am trying to work this whole thing out
So how can you just sit there sleeping
When your worlds on fire
And your chest is beating?
And I want to think you feel the same
Don’t look down
You might fall
Life made rookies of us all
In our finest year
Don’t wait up
We’ll be fine
Somehow we might get it right
In our finest year
In this moment
While you’re breathing
If the future leaves you needing
Will you be the one who stayed?
As your life just slipped away?
Don’t leave me here alone
You’re as close as it gets to home
I’ll be there if you fall
Love made suckers of us all
Don’t look down
You might fall
Life made rookies of us all
In our finest year
Don’t wait up
We’ll be fine
Somehow we might get it right
In our finest year
CHEERS TO graduate 2006..

It was still fresh in my memory the day i graduated from college, even if it was almost 3years now i still remember the moment i went up on stage w/my other classmate accepting our diploma, proved that we are full pledge graduate. No more quizzes, no more major exam, beating the dealine just to submit projects, term paper and of course no more terror teachers. But honestly i missed those days, i mean life in college is quite challenging especially for those who study away from there family, i myself study far from my family, for 4 years i’ve learned so many things that i’ve never imagine that i can do on my own i mean from simple things like doing your own laundry, preparing your own food and budgeting your monthly allowance, i’ve learned as well to value and appreciate my parents more, this is the stage were you become matured and independent enough to make decision on your own, if you made mistake you should know how to face the consequence. Pressure is on you to finish school, it’s very important not only for yourself but for your parents. For me that is the biggest achievement that we can give to our parents, i mean thank you is not enough to give it back all there hardship and sacrifice just to support our study, but for nurturing as through the years. Finishing school will not just end there, but it’s only the beginning of much challenging life in a real world

Extraverted Sensing Feeling Judging
March 17, 2006A friend of mine send an email about kind of personality a test called myers brigss test and she insist that i should try to answer it and take time, i thought it’s just the same OLD personality test that i always get from several forwarded emails but she said this far different from those this one really make sense so out of curiosity i try to answer it and to my surprise the result really describe my personality, my attitude towards to other people as well my inner-self..
this excerpt of the result:
ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes. All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. They willingly provide service (which embodies life’s meaning) and expect the same from others. ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. As an ESFJ, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit in with your personal value system. Your secondary mode is internal, where you take things in via your five senses in a literal, concrete fashion.
people persons - they love people. They are warmly interested in others. They use their Sensing and Judging characteristics to gather specific, detailed information about others, and turn this information into supportive judgments. They want to like people, and have a special skill at bringing out the best in others. They are extremely good at reading others, and understanding their point of view. The ESFJ’s strong desire to be liked and for everything to be pleasant makes them highly supportive of others. People like to be around ESFJs, because the ESFJ has a special gift of invariably making people feel good about themselves.
The ESFJ takes their responsibilities very seriously, and is very dependable They value security and stability, and have a strong focus on the details of life. They see before others do what needs to be done, and do whatever it takes to make sure that it gets done. They enjoy these types of tasks, and are extremely good at them. ESFJs are warm-hearted individuals who highly value their close personal relationships. They are very service-oriented, and their own happiness is closely tied into the happiness and comfort of those around them.
They are valued for their genuine warm and caring natures, and their special ability to bring out the best in others. They usually do not handle conflict well, and may tend to be very controlling or manipulative. Relationships are central to their lives, and they put forth a great amount of energy into developing and maintaining their close interpersonal relationships. They expect the same from others.
ESFJs at their best are warm, sympathetic, helpful, cooperative, tactful, down-to-earth, practical, thorough, consistent, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic. They enjoy tradition and security, and will seek stable lives that are rich in contact with friends and family
call center world
March 16, 2006
It was last week when abs-cbn feature in The Correspondents an episode about call center and their employees. I got to chance to see this episode however i was unable to finish it since i have worked. I also working in a call center industry, when i graduated in college this is my first job and until now i’m still working in call center so far i survived from this kind of job. First i was hesistant to worked in a call center because i’m not use to night shift i’m a morning person at the sametime i will miss important occasion including christmas and new year, it’s a big sacrifice not to be with your family on those important day, but then again i just realize that there a lot of people who are sacrificing not to be with there family who went overseas just to provide a better life, lucky for us who are here in are own country that we are able to help our family. Some may say it’s very easy to have this kind of job but honestly there are a lot of factors that you have to considered not just simply answering the phone and speak english fluently.

Just to share, an email that i’ve got, an article from a call center manager commenting about the feature episode of The Correspondents
Sad to say, Gigi Grande and the producers who conceptualized the said episode was not able to capture the truth behind call centers and their employees.
magaan na trabaho — this is a misconception that a lot of people have about call centers. this is work, serious work and not playtime. as call center agents we are the frontliners of some of the biggest companies around the world. we handle their first line of defense for their businnes, Customer Service. we Filipinos who work in call centers represent these companies to their consumers and we filipinos can spell the success or downfall of these business just on how we deal with their consumers 24/7 and that is not an easy task. the reason why call centers thrive in the philippines is because filipinos have good customer service skills. we are professional workers and we give everything a 100%. i salute all the call center employees who make this feat possible. it means jobs and job security to the filipinos who wanted to work in their own country.
no age limit — because call centers are equal opportunity employers. they do not set limitations to people’s ability to work. it is only here in the philippines where we put an age limit to applications. it really does not matter what age the applicant is as long as they can still deliver quality performance. it is called diversity.
hindi rin kailangang college graduate - for cheap call centers maybe, not for the big ones. we encourage our applicants to finish college first before applying. they may also be assisted through schedule requests if they want to continue studying while still employed.
ang tanging requirement, ganda ng boses at galing sa pagsasalita — for radio stations yes. not for call center. we are not DJs. we also require high IQ and intelligence in call centers. For example, Wil Ison, the 24 year old manager who was featured in The Correpondents. You did not even applaude him for reaching that position in such a young age. if he was employed in a bank, he will only become a manager if he kissed enough bossess ass or because he is already 50 years old. People like Wil were promoted because they are good employees. Most of the call centers have internal application processes that enables the employees to apply for higher position highliting their performance and capabilities and not who their friends are and whose ass they just wiped.
‘Ika nga ng iba, "in" ka kapag nasa call center ka. - this is not a fad. we are working, we pay our taxes, we are productive citizens of this country. we chose to stay and earn here in our own country rather than go abroad and contribute to the brain drain. we earn a lot beacuse we work hard. we are thankful for the good education we were provided by our parents that gave us the competencies we have now. we are working for multinational companies and we get promoted. most of us 21-30 years old and we are managers, supervisors and senior managers.
we may not be doctors or lawyers but at least we are not corrupt. we are productive and we make sure that our families and our future families will not be included with the uneducated, paid rallyists in EDSA, who do not even understand why they are there. we are not a burden to the government, they should even be thankful because it is our tax, the middle class tax, that makes it possible for the Philippines to stay alive.
instead of potraying us as obese, smoking insomiacs….why not thank us? applaude our achievements, be proud that we are very good with what we do that’s why investors come in to the philippines. ask the government to provide security to the employees who have different schedules from the normal 9-5 workers? ask them to take care of us and in return we will work harder, show the companies that it is worth investing in the philippines, we will continue to pay our taxes and slowly but surely help our country progress.
Little Things that make you Happy
March 15, 2006"Happiness is a journey, not a destination; happiness is to be found along the way not at the end of the road, for then the journey is over and it’s too late. The time for happiness is today not tomorrow."
–Paul H. Dunn

What are some little things that make you happy
Here are a couple of mine:
Eating a home cooked meal
a cool breeze on warm day
getting stuff on sale
lying on the grass staring up at the stars on a warm night
talking to my friend about anything and everything
when a great song is on the radio, then ANOTHER great song comes on right after it
surprises
Being out in nature
road trips
chocolate
Smelling coffee
watching a great movie
laughing for no particular reason at all
carrying a new born baby
sleeping late
reading a book you liked soo much you’ll read it again
getting hicups and holding breath then they’re gone
day dreaming
when it’s been really cold/rainy for several days and all of a sudden it gets nice and warm
Being in a crowd of excited people
never saw blue like that before….
March 14, 2006this song remind me of good old days back in college

Today we took a walk up the street
And picked a flower, climbed the hill above the lake
And secret thoughts were said aloud
We watched the faces in the clouds
Till the clouds had blown away
Were we ever somewhere else?
You know, it’s hard to say
I never saw blue like that before
Across the sky, around the world
You’re giving me all you have and more
And no one else has ever shown me how
To see the world the way I see it now
Oh, I never saw blue like that before
I can’t believe a month ago I was alone
I didn’t know you, I hadn’t seen you or heard your name
And even now I’m so amazed
It’s like a dream, it’s like a rainbow
It’s like the rain
And some things are the way they are
And words just can’t explain, because
And it feels like now
And it feels always
And it feels like coming home
Oh, I never saw blue like that before

Tearjerker…

Terry McKay: Winter must be cold for those with no warm memories… And we’ve already missed the spring
I always find myself watching a classic movie, Last weekend it was my 4th time to see An affair to remember, i was able to watched the remake before but nothing beats the original. Well i’m not familiar with this movie before but when i saw Sleepless Seattle that is the only time that i really wanted to see this movie, but the only thing i know this movie is already part of hollywood history. This film has to be the best romantic film that I’ve ever seen, even above Gone With the Wind, and Casablanca, After I saw Sleepless in Seattle when I was in high school and caught the many references to this film, I decided to check it out for myself. Needless to say, with the whole "shipboard romance" aspect of it, and the promise to meet again in six months on a top of the Empire State Building of all places, I quickly became hooked.
Seeing this film always makes me wonder if something like the kind of relationship describes within this film would actually be possible in real life. Would and could someone actually leave the person they were engaged to in order to marry a complete and total stranger they just met days ago? I’d like to think that it could, but then again I am nothing but a hopeless romantic. The final scene always tears my heart out no matter how many times I’ve seen it. I’m always sobbing. Watching this even if you are single is always a treat. It allows our fantasies to take wing so that we may think we are actually the one meeting our beloved on top of Empire State Building. The final scene is wonderfully romantic, It is my favorite scene in the movie! Where Love conquers all.

WHY WE SHOULD GO HOME ON TIME…
March 11, 2006I always received forwarded email, most of them are junk mail and of course spam mail. But today when i open my yahoo mail i got my attention to this forwarded email talking about people who stay up late at work, best to describe them is workaholic, I myself spend most of my time in worked but not to extent that i will become overworked and even forget to do things for myself, i mean i have a life outside the office that is the only time i can breathe from a very stressful day. This is quite inspiring for everyone especially those who are working in a corporate world.

Mr. Narayana Murthy is undoubtedly one of the most famous persons from
Karnataka. He is known not just for building the biggest IT empire in
India but also for his simplicity. Almost every important dignitary
visits Infosys campus. He delivered an interesting speech during an
employee session with another IT company in India. He is incidentally,
one of the top 50 Influential people of Asia according to an Asiaweek
publication and also the new IT Advisor to the Thailand Prime Minister.
Extract of Mr. Narayana Murthy’s Speech during Mentor Session:
I know people who work 12 hours a day, six days a week, or more. Some
people do so because of a work emergency where the long hours are only
temporary. Other people I know have put in these hours for years. I
don’t know if they are working all these hours, but I do know they are
in the office this long. Others put in long office hours because they
are addicted to the workplace.
Whatever the reason for putting in overtime, working long hours over the
long term is harmful to the person and to the organization. There are
things managers can do to change this for everyone’s benefit. Being in
the office long hours, over long periods of time, makes way for
potential errors. My colleagues who are in the office long hours
frequently make mistakes caused by fatigue.
Correcting these mistakes requires their time as well as the time and
energy of others. I have seen people work Tuesday through Friday to
correct mistakes made after 5 PM on Monday. Another problem is that
people who are in the office long hours are not pleasant company. They
often complain about other people (who aren’t working as hard); they are
irritable, or cranky, or even angry. Other people avoid them. Such
behavior poses problems, where work goes much better when people work
together instead of avoiding one another.
As Managers, there are things we can do to help people leave the office.
First and foremost is to set the example and go home ourselves. I work
with a manager who chides people for working long hours. His words
quickly lose their meaning when he sends these chiding group e-mails
with a time-stamp of 2 AM, Sunday.
Second is to encourage people to put some balance in their lives. For
instance, here is a guideline I find helpful:
1) Wake up, eat a good breakfast, and go to work.
2) Work hard and smart for eight or nine hours.
3) Go home.
4) Read the books/comics, watch a funny movie, dig in the dirt, play
with your kids, etc.
5) Eat well and sleep well.
This is called recreating. Doing steps 1, 3, 4, and 5 enable step 2.
Working regular hours and recreating daily are simple concepts. They
are hard for some of us because that requires ‘personal change’. They
are possible since we all have the power to choose to do them.
In considering the issue of overtime, I am reminded of my oldest son.
When he was a toddler, if people were visiting the apartment, he would
not fall asleep no matter how long the visit was, and no matter what
time of day it was. He would fight off sleep until the visitors left.
It was as if he was afraid that he would miss something. Once our
visitors’ left, he would go to sleep. By this time, however, he was over
tired and would scream through half the night with nightmares. He, my
wife, and I, all paid the price for his fear of missing out.
Perhaps some people put in such long hours because they don’t want to
miss anything when they leave the office. The trouble with this is that
events will never stop happening. That is life! Things happen 24 hours
a day. Allowing for little rest is not ultimately practical. So, take a
nap. Things will happen while you’re asleep, but you will have the
energy to catch up when you wake.
Hence,
"LOVE YOUR JOB, BUT NEVER FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR COMPANY BECAUSE YOU
NEVER KNOW WHEN THE COMPANY STOPS LOVING YOU" –

song for the moment
March 10, 2006
i like the song i just heard over MTV radio, i’m not really familiar with the band but the song is really nice as well the lyrics of it.
"Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been"
I watched the proverbial sunrise
coming up over the Pacific and
you might think I’m losing my mind,
but I will shy away from the specifics…
cause I don’t want you to know where I am
cause then you’ll see my heart
in the saddest state it’s ever been.
This is no place to try and live my life.
Stop right there. That’s exactly where I lost it.
See that line. Well I never should have crossed it.
Stop right there. Well I never should have said
that it’s the very moment that
I wish that I could take back.
I’m sorry for the person I became.
I’m sorry that it took so long for me to change.
I’m ready to try and never become that way again
’cause who I am hates who I’ve been.
Who I am hates who I’ve been.
I talk to absolutely no one.
Couldn’t keep to myself enough.
And the things bottled inside have finally begun
to create so much pressure that I’ll soon blow up.
I heard the reverberating footsteps
Sinking up to the beating of my heart,
and I was positive that unless I got myself together,
I would watch me fall apart.
And I can’t let that happen again
’cause then you’ll see my heart
in the saddest state it’s ever been.
This is no place to try and live my life.
Who I am hates who I’ve been
and who I am will take the second chance you gave me.
Who I am hates who I’ve been
’cause who I’ve been only ever made me…
So sorry for the person I became.
So sorry that it took so long for me to change.
I’m ready to try and never become that way again
’cause who I am hates who I’ve been.
Who I am hates who I’ve been.

Have you ever felt that you wanted to pursue a career that you really wanted it but there are things that hinder you to do so, i mean worked you really love to do ever since but due to situation and circumstances you were unable to pursue it,not that i’m not happy to my worked right now, i could actually say that i’m lucky to have a job just imagine how many filipinos that are unemployed, I myself hoping to achieve that but still due to some priority in life i left behind those dreams, but i’m not giving up i just need time, photography is one of my passion and hoping to go back to school to learn more about photography not just the basic, because back in college this subject is one of my favorite although it’s quite expensive, since you should have your own slr camera as well spending money to buy film and to have it develop which really cause a headache for me back then, since digi cam is no no especially for those picture that was required to submit to my insturctor it should be good and captured perfectly, i mean art of taking picture should be perfect as a song goes "a picture paints a thousand words" you don’t need to have a background on photography just to understand the meaning and message, it will speak for itself. I have huge collection of photos back then, including my project to my photography class but when i got here in manila only few are left in our home in the province since some of them was misplaced, i really missed those days.
This are some photos that i really like from baghdad, hurricane katrina, tsunami and funeral of pope john paul II
